Groundswell 2010 - Feedback
Saturday, 08 May 2010 02:21
Hey everyone,
Just wanting to say a big thank you to every single person who helped to make Groundswell such a great night in the life of our region, to all the volunteers, pastors, youth pastors and leaders, sound / media / lighting guys, people who travelled, music team, bands, set up and pack up guys and everyone else, It’s the team work and unity of churches within our region that makes things like Groundswell possible. A special thank you to Ps Mark Pierce for letting us use their awesome venue for the night and a special thanks to all the team at ACC Dubbo for the time you put in to make the night such a great success.
Here are a list of the Churches that were involved in making Groundswell Possible
Dubbo Christian Community Centre, Riverside Church Dubbo, Dubbo Baptist Church, Bluecross Church Narromine, Westlink Church Peakhill, Peakhill Uniting Church, Vision Ministries Alectown, Wellington COC, Parkes Baptist Church, Parkes ACC, Bluecross Church Parkes, Nyngan ACC
Matt & Kate Knighton and Emma Bird from the Yum Centre in Parkes deserve a special mention. Last year only a small hand full of youth came across to Groundswell from Parkes but this year the guys took a step of faith and hired a 40 seater coach. They has 38 people come on Friday and about 10 young people made a decision to follow Jesus… What a night for them… we are praying and cheering you guys in Parkes on as you grow and disciple these young people….
22 young people made a decision to follow Jesus for the very first time and we also had a lot of re-commitments. Lets pray and believe for each of these young people being planted in local churches across our region and being discipled.
On behalf of our Regional Team, Mel and I would like to thank you all for what has been an amazing year so far. Youth Alive in the Central West is going from strength to strength and it’s because of every single one of you that has a heart for God and is willing to work together in unity to see our region changed for Jesus.
Looking forward to Impact tomorrow and June Camp next month…
Bless you heaps
Nathan B - Western Region NSW Co Ordinator for Youth Alive
